We’re now looking for a Documentation Specialist to support our growth and join our Support/Documentation team! The Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving product documentation that enables customers and internal teams to successfully use our products without requiring additional support. This role contributes directly to improving the self-service experience, reducing support demand, and ensuring documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with real product workflows. The role requires a high level of autonomy, accountability, and the ability to take full ownership of documentation quality, structure, and consistency across the product.
Your key responsibilities include:
Take ownership of your documentation work, driving it through to completion and ensuring it is accurate, complete, and clear
Create and maintain high-quality documentation in line with product changes and releases
Identify gaps, outdated content, and areas for improvement, and continuously improve documentation structure, clarity, and consistency using feedback and usage data
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to gather and validate information, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
Coordinate and support the translation of end-user documentation
Participate in peer reviews and contribute to maintaining consistent, high-quality documentation standards
Success factors
Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for documentation outcomes, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Produces clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation that enables users to find answers independently
Proactively identifies gaps and continuously improves documentation quality, structure, and consistency
Understands user needs and creates content that is practical, usable, and aligned with real-world scenarios
Key challenges & expectations (first 12 months)
Taking ownership of your documentation work, including identifying gaps, improving outdated content, and contributing to clear structure and consistent standards
Improving documentation quality while keeping pace with ongoing product changes and releases
Managing and prioritizing work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple competing documentation needs
Building strong collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Support to ensure documentation reflects real product workflows
Ensuring consistency and alignment across documentation created by different contributors, including structure, terminology, and quality standards
What will help you to be successful in this role?
Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. In addition, our humble wishlist includes:
Required:
Relevant academic background in technical communication, documentation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
2–3+ years of experience in documentation, or in a related field, with a demonstrated ability to create clear, structured content
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, our working language
Good understanding of documentation processes and tools
Experience with or exposure to translation and localisation workflows
A good understanding of how to use AI to improve efficiency and workflows.
Proven ability to manage priorities, work independently, and take ownership of tasks from assignment through to completion
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
Desired (but not required):
Experience with Paligo and/or Crowdin
Familiarity with veterinary terminology or experience working in a veterinary or healthcare environment
Familiarity with SaaS or healthcare software environments
Experience working with support teams or customer-facing content
