General Manager Australia
Nordhealth is coming to Australia!
👋 Who are we?
Nordhealth (OB:NORDH) is the leading provider of cloud-based Practice Information Management Software (PIMS) to veterinary and therapy professionals.
Over the last three years, we have grown our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and team size by almost 10x. Today, more than 30,000 therapy and veterinary professionals use our software everyday to help treat over 20 million patients annually across 35+ countries. It’s been an exciting growth journey so far and we are just getting started. Our mission is to enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient care through software, with a goal to help serve over 200 million patients by 2030. In support of this growth mission, in May 2021, Nordhealth raised €120M through a public-listing on Euronext Growth Oslo stock exchange.
Nordhealth is a remote-first company, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Our 430+ employees work either remotely or from offices/collaboration hubs. While our market presence is currently strongest in the Nordics, our customer base is rapidly growing in North America and Europe, with clients in the US, UK, Spain and many others. About the role
The General Manager Australia is accountable for establishing, scaling, and running Nordhealth’s Australian business from the ground up. Combining commercial P&L leadership with hands-on program management, this role bridges business development, team recruitment, and enterprise onboarding execution across the region.
As our first local hire, you will operate with high autonomy, navigating time-zone differences with European leadership. Initially, you will operate hands-on—conducting client demos and executing software implementations yourself—to master the product and workflows before recruiting and leading a dedicated local team of sales, implementation, and customer success professionals! 🚀
Your key responsibilities include:
Market Expansion & Team Building: Establish Nordhealth's regional footprint; recruit, coach, and scale a local team across Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success.
Hands-On Operational Mastery: Conduct customer demos and directly lead client implementations in early months to establish GTM standards, build playbooks, and train future hires.
Enterprise Program Management: Own end-to-end enterprise deployment lifecycles—managing milestones, governance, scope boundaries, change requests, and executive steering committees.
P&L & Commercial Ownership: Deliver regional revenue goals, enforce margin discipline, manage quota attainment, and drive enterprise account expansion.
Autonomous Regional Governance: Serve as the strategic bridge to European HQ, making independent, high-judgment decisions to drive business velocity despite time-zone offsets.
Expectation & Escalation Management: Confidently navigate challenging conversations—such as timeline slippages, resource constraints, or requests falling outside scope—by presenting alternative solutions and keeping internal teams (Sales, Product, Support) fully aligned.
Skills & Experience Required
Ideally, you have already gained some foundational excellence from working in a top-tier strategy consulting or investment banking firm.. In addition, our humble wishlist includes:
Software / SaaS Track Record: Proven transition into a software company with experience in sales, revenue generation, or operations-heavy leadership.
Commercial Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing P&L targets or sales quotas and building high-performing teams from scratch.
Complex Delivery Expertise: Background managing enterprise-grade project lifecycles, maintaining scope discipline, and presenting to executive client stakeholders.
Builder Mindset: Strong bias for action; comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute tactical work before building the structure to delegate it.
